There are a TON of churches in Pittsburgh. Having been a musician and now a wedding photographer in Pittsburgh, I have seen the insides of most of them. St. Bonaventure Parish in Glenshaw is one of the least “cave-like” churches that I have seen because there is so much available light in the sanctuary!!! It is amazing and beautiful! And it is a dream come true for a wedding photographer in Western PA (where the sun barely shines!). Thank you to Katia for having me as her second shooter for this wedding!
The exterior:
The entrance to the sanctuary:
The beautiful baptismal font (and I’ll take the opportunity to “nerd out” and say that I hand-held the camera at 1/4 for this shot!):
Gorgeous light coming in from all the windows….I think the highest I needed to have my ISO was 800!! (another nerd moment….sorry!)
I was second shooting this wedding, so my position was behind the bride as she walked down the aisle:
Listening to Fr. Sweeney (who is so nice!!):
Saying their vows……
Exchanging rings…..
MARRIED!!!
Fr. Sweeney giving the couple a final blessing:
I think we used a small amount of fill for the church portraits (which is unheard of).
