When I walk into a reception room, and I see uplighting, I do a little dance. Uplighting or accent lights can add a whole different dimension to the ambiance of your reception. These lights can make your room come ALIVE! From a photographic standpoint, it’s the best thing ever. I can create so many different kinds of artistic photos using these lights…..hence, the happy dance.

The lighting at this wedding was done by David Kleba of mobileMIX Entertainment. Teresa (the bride) wanted to make sure the lighting matched the bridesmaids’ dresses perfectly, and David accomplished this!
Another favorite room was this gorgeous pink room at the Duquesne Club. The lighting was done by Kevin, of First Class Entertainment.
My favorite colors are purple and green, so of COURSE I love the lighting at this next wedding! Emily hired a lighting guy literally at the last minute….and what a great decision it was!
A venue where uplighting is pretty much a MUST, is Stage AE. When there isn’t an event in this space, it is completely BLACK. Look how the accent/uplighting gives this room dimension….
My last wedding of 2014 was in December. What could be more perfect than white lights?! With the silver accents and white tablecloths, it looked like a winter wonderland…
