Weddings and Receptions at the Carnegie Science Center
What a unique venue for a Pittsburgh Wedding!! So much to see and do for you AND your guests! There are times when my brides worry that their guests will be bored (especially during cocktail hour). I assure them that they of course won’t be (because I always see the guests having a great time!). You’ll DEFINITELY not need to worry if you’re wedding is at the Carnegie Science Center. It is a fantastic place for all ages!
I recently had the great opportunity to do a styled shoot at the Science Center. I was blown away by the artistry of Greensinner and E.F. Lighting! We started in the Works Theater of the Science Center…

The mixture of beautiful, classic wedding decor with a colorful and educational science backdrop was pretty awesome…
As the photographer, I had the opportunity to sample the food. It. Was. Awesome!!!! I’d also like to add that the Tesla coil scared the poop out of me, too! It was so loud!
How cute are the wine glasses and the electrostatic generator?!
LOOK AT THIS! These are called “boo bubbles” and are so cool to play with. They are made with liquid soap and dry ice. This is great entertainment for your guests (especially kids!).
We also made ice cream with dry ice!
The planetarium is a perfect place for a wedding ceremony. Comfy seats, privacy…..perfect.
Jimmy Lohr of GreenSinner did all of the flowers for our shoot. I think this was his first time making a floral wreath for a robot (who talked to us!!).

Our couple also had the chance to make their own “cocktail”….creating a chemical reaction!
This is the perfect place for science nerds to have their wedding!! What more could you ask for?!
